Call For Presenters
Oregon RID is committed to offering opportunities for interpreters and interpreting students throughout Oregon who wish to develop their knowledge, wisdom and imaginations. Oregon RID also promotes participation in leadership opportunities to advance the profession and to improve services. As a presenter, you can be a vital part of that effort. To that end, we are soliciting presenters for future ORID workshops to be held around the state.
Please complete Workshop Proposal and email to workshops@orid.org.
We encourage proposals for all levels. Presentations are sought on all topics related to the field, as well as non-interpreting related topics such as entrepreneurship, professionalism, work place ethics, etc. Presentations should be amenable to both large and small groups.
We also want to support and encourage fellow interpreters who are interested in presenting for the first time. If you know someone you think would be a great presenter, please pass this along. To be considered, presenters are required to complete and submit the attached CEU Instructor Form.
After that, proposals will be accepted on an ongoing basis for future workshops.
We are organizing several workshops around our Member Meetings and would welcome your workshop topic proposal. We are offering professional development CEUs for working interpreters and will need the completed CEU Instructor Form along with your bio if you are interested in presenting.
Compensation for presenters will be based on experience.
Completed proposals (Workshop Proposal, bio, resume) to be sent by email to workshops@orid.org.
Individuals will be informed by email, depending on date/location of workshop availability.
