Hello! I'm Amber Roley, associate member of ORID. I grew up in Washington state and after graduating with a transfer degree from Pierce Community College, I moved to Monmouth, OR to study interpreting. There, I earned the opportunity to volunteer for Western Oregon University's ASL Club, volunteer at Oregon School for the Deaf, and intern with one of Washington D.C.'s top agencies. In 2017, I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B.A. ASL/English Interpreting Studies and a minor in Health. I did some traveling afer that and eventually settled back into the Oregonian life. Over the years, I have received a 4.2 score for the EIPA (ASL, Elementary) and am currently working towards national certification through RID. Working in the Salem area, I typically interpreting in colleges, VRS, routine medical, and other community work. In my free time, I like to paint, play Dungeons and Dragons, play video games, attend Deaf events, camp/hike, and take my puppy on walks!
